Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using Afriverse — the social, marketplace, payments, and messaging platform operated as Afriverse (“Afriverse,” “we,” “us”) — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that's higher. If you're using Afriverse on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think it's been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that are used for fraud or abuse, or that we're required to act on by law.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Afriverse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the service — for example, showing it in feeds, generating previews, and serving it through our CDN.

You're responsible for having the rights to what you post, and for it complying with these Terms and applicable law. We can remove content, or restrict an account, that violates this section or our community standards (harassment, hate speech, illegal content, impersonation, spam, and similar).

Listings, orders, boosts, subscriptions, tips, and payouts are subject to the pricing, fees, and payout schedule shown in-app at the time of the transaction, which may change with notice. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for fulfilling orders they accept. Disputes should be raised through the in-app dispute flow as soon as possible — see the order for details.

Wallet balances, commissions, and affiliate earnings are tracked in-app and are subject to identity verification before withdrawal where required by law or our payment processors.

You agree not to:

• Use Afriverse for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Harass, threaten, or attempt to dox or impersonate another person.
• Interfere with the service — scraping at scale, attempting to bypass rate limits, or probing for vulnerabilities without authorization.
• Manipulate engagement, payouts, or marketplace ratings through fake accounts or coordinated abuse.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, extended inactivity, or as required by law. Some sections of these Terms — content licenses already granted, outstanding payment obligations, and limitations of liability — survive termination.

Afriverse is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate or safe. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afriverse isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Afriverse after a change takes effect means you accept it.
